Almost 5000 kids join in setting up the Vietnam Records at the National Kids’ Fest
(Vietkings) From 28th to 30th June 2016, at the April 2 Square (Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang City), the Council of the Central Young Pioneer Organization coordinated with the People Committee of Khanh Hoa Province to organize the 6th National Kids’Fest 2016 with the main subject “joy with blue ocean”.
This Festival was organized with the hope to become a feast-day for the kids in the whole nation with the main purpose to motivate the kids to learn and practising in Moral- Intelligence- Sport- Beauty.
6th National Kids’Fest 2016 took place with plentiful activities such as conference about the operation of the Children’s House, the stamp exhibition “the Vietnam Youth through the Postal Stamp”. Perform to serve the people, children as well as carried out the social work at the regions in Khanh Hoa Province, visit the Hon Dung Revolutionary Martyr Cemetery; visit the famous destinations in Nha Trang such as Diamond Bay, Po Nagar Stele…etc as well as the competition in Art, competition in Group Leading…etc.
Especially, on 30th June 2016, 4700 childrens from the Children’s Houses, Operation Centrals for Children had participated in the Flash Mob and Yoga Exercise to set up the 2 Vietnam Records.
Dr. Pham Dinh Phong, Vice-Chairman of the Vietnamese Traditional Martial Art Federation, Permanent Member of the Consultant Council of the Vietnam Book of Records issued the Certificate of Vietnam Records to the Representative of the Children House of Khanh Hoa Province. 2 records were both set up at 6:30AM on 30th June 2016.
The children in the National Flag Pattern Uniform carried out the flash mob with the music of 5 songs: Grasshopper, Washing Hand, Pillow Dance, Katyusha and Trong Com. After finishing the Flash Mob, the children carried out the Yoga under the construction of the coaches.

A 287-year-old carambola tree and a 326-year-old Sop (Ficus pisocarpa Blume) tree in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap have been recognised as national heritage trees. Certificates of the recognition were handed over to local authorities by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) at a ceremony held in the locality on December 18.
Vietnam came in second with two silver and one bronze medals at the 18th Asian Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) Championships, which ended recently in Fujian province of China.
