Nominate the longest living couple in the world

Being asked about the secret for staying long life, the couple said that they have tried to maintain diet plan on time, the unprejudiced, truthfully, cheerful life, live in harmony with people, doing daily exercise as well as positively joining in culture and art activities. 

An old man was born in 1908, he is 106 years old. An old lady was born 1914, she is 100 years old. The couple live in Phuong Lich Village, 2 Hamlet, Dien Chau Commune, Dien Chau District, Nghe An Province, Viet Nam.

Although the couple is over 100 years old, they still have a sound mind, like reading newspaper, listening radio. An old man loves writing poetry and good cooking. In addition, Mr. Vien can clearly write words without spectacles. This couple have been confered with a title “The most lucky matchmakers”. This one springs from long-lived and happy life.

When he was 23 years old and she was 18 years old, they got married in 1931 or 1932. It’s an arranged marriage. They have 8 childrens (3 sons, 5 daughters), six of whom are still alive. The six are all over 60 years old. Currently, the couple have 34 grandchildrens in all. 

 Their great family have totally 138 members ( couple, sons, daughters, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, brother's son-in-law, sister's son-in-law,..).

As we asked them about the secret for staying long life, they said that they have tried to maintain diet plan on time, the unprejudiced, truthfully, cheerful life, live in harmony with people, doing daily exercise as well as positively joining in culture and art activities. They have a feeling that if you wish having dutiful child, good morality, the first thing you are a good example to children.

The youngest daughter- Cao Thi Que said that:” My father is very love reading book, he can cook while people is busy. He is also a good-natured person who have never harm anyone.”

On the August 27, 2014, Asia Book of records granted certificates of  "Asia's Oldest Couple". In addition, Vietnam Book of Records said it will ask the World Record Association to present the title of the longest living couple.

Nominate the longest living woman in the world

(VietKings) Nguyen Thi Tru – 122 years old – a resident of Da Phuoc Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, is the oldest living person of record in Asia and maybe in the world.
