World Record Nomination 15: Antimatter - The most Expensive Material in the World

(WorldKings) Women like diamonds so much. But there is a material which is more expensive than diamonds. Read below to learn about it !

Antimatter (therichest.com)

Name of this material is Antimatter. In particle physics, antimatter is material composed of antiparticles, which have the same mass as particles of ordinary matter but have opposite charge and other particle properties such as lepton and baryon number, quantum spin, etc. Encounters between particles and antiparticles lead to the annihilation of both, giving rise to varying proportions of high-energy photons (gamma rays), neutrinos, and lower-mass particle–antiparticle pairs. Setting aside the mass of any product neutrinos, which represent released energy that generally continues to be unavailable, the end result of annihilation is a release of energy available to do work, proportional to the total matter and antimatter mass, in accord with the mass-energy equivalence equation, E=mc2.

Diamond- $ 55,000 per gram and Californium - $27 million per gram while Antimatter price is $6.25 trillion per gram. By far the most expensive substance on earth is antimatter, which requires some of the most advanced technology available, such as CERN, in order to create small amounts that are enough for physicists to study. Many people were introduced to the idea of antimatter through science fiction due to its incredibly destructive properties when mixed with regular matter.

And what you do with it ? Antimatter could possibly fuel spaceships to the planets, and maybe the stars, in the years come.
